Welcome to Wells-next-the-Sea Children's Centre
Welcome to our website where you can discover more about the activities, services and information we offer, including links to lots of useful websites. We're here to help local families with under fives by providing information, advice and services, help with returning to work, finding childcare, family support, family health, and much more. Some areas of our site provide great family entertainment - you and your children can play some of the great games and if you are new to using computers this will help you get used to using the mouse and keyboard, whilst having fun! Click here for Games. Click here to download a Children's Centre registration form. Important Notice! Wells-next-the-Sea Sure Start Children's Centre will no longer be managed by Norfolk County Council from the 1st July 2012. The new lead partner will be the charity Action for Children. Hopefully this will not disrupt any of our services. Please see below for Action for Children's operational statement:- Through our work and through speaking out, we seek to break the cycle of deprivation. We challenge injustice and empower children to overcome the obstacles in their lives that hold them back. We tailor our work to local circumstances, in partnership with children and young people, families, communities and local organisations. We work with children and young people: whose families need support who cannot live with their birth families who are disabled who experiance severe difficulties in their lives
We have been working with the UK's most vulnerable and neglected children since 1869. We were originally called the National Children's Home, or NCH, until September 2008 when we changed our name to one that better describes what we do and what we value - Action for Children.
